Polestar 4 SUV Coupé Launches in the UAE

Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility (AFEM) has launched the Polestar 4 SUV coupé at the SEE Institute in The Sustainable City, Dubai. This launch marks an important milestone for AFEM, expanding its lineup from one to three cars. Polestar 2 and Polestar 4 are now on UAE’s roads, with Polestar 3 expected soon, further growing the Swedish electric car brand’s presence in the Emirates.

Hasan Nergiz, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, highlighted the success of Polestar 2 in the UAE and the growing demand for eco-conscious cars. He noted that Polestar 4 combines the best features of an SUV and a coupé, offering powerful performance, advanced technology, and a low carbon footprint.

The Polestar 4 features aerodynamic efficiency, a minimalist Scandinavian design, and innovative elements such as eliminating the rear window and separating the dual-blade front lights. It is the fastest production car by Polestar, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.8 seconds and a maximum power output of 400 kW (544 hp) in the Long Range Dual Motor version. The Long Range Single Motor version has a 200 kW (272 hp) motor with a range of up to 620 km (WLTP).

Polestar 4 is being touted to be the most sustainable vehicle in Polestar’s lineup, produced using hydropower, solar photovoltaic electricity, and recycled materials. The Long Range Single Motor version has a cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of 19.9 tCO2e, while the Long Range Dual Motor version has 21.4 tCO2e. Since the first Polestar 2 deliveries in 2020, the company has worked to reduce emissions, resulting in a 24% reduction in the Polestar 4 Long Range Single Motor’s footprint compared to the original Polestar 2.
