The new ASUS Vivobook Pro 14X OLED is an ultraportable that comes with a tagline “Uncage Your Possibilities” etched onto its lid. It sits between the Zenbook Pro and the company’s Vivobook series and is aimed at content creators and artists. The design of the ultraportable is very minimalistic coming in two colour options – black and white. For this review, we received the white variant.

The Vivobook Pro 14X OLED also comes with lots of goodness that include up to AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX Mobile Processor, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU, an exclusive ASUS DialPad for seamless and intuitive creating experience, and a high capacity 63Wh battery.

You also get up to 49% bigger touchpad, AI noise-canceling technology, dual-fan cooling design, a webcam shield for privacy, and one-touch to log in through the power button.

One of the stand-out features of the Vivobook Pro 14X OLED is its 14-inch OLED screen which is gorgeous to look at.

The OLED NanoEdge display renders true-to-life colours at any brightness level, with deep blacks. It is also PANTONE-Validated for superb colour accuracy and it has a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

It also packs in a 0.2 ms response time and a contrast ratio of 1000000:1. The display is also TÜV Rheinland Certified for eye comfort.

In terms of connectivity, you get two USB ports and the power and battery indicator LEDs on the left edge. On the right edge, you get the power jack, a full-size USB port, a full-size HDMI port, a Type C port, a microSD reader, and a 3.5mm combo jack.

Other specs include 16GB of DDR4 memory and 1TB of PCIe SSD for storage. You also get the goodness of Intel WiFi 6 (802.11ax) connectivity and support for Bluetooth 5.0.

The ASUS DialPad is also one of the star features on the Vivobook Pro 14X OLED. It has been designed to enhance how content creators work during every part of the editing process and free their creativity with customisable macro controls for the OS, and third-party creative applications.

It offers adaptive profiles for third-party applications, creative applications support, efficient and accurate brush control, and smooth and seamless navigations. You can also adjust the volume and brightness using the DialPad.

In terms of performance, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14X offers very snappy performance for everyday use and multitasking. It also performs well under demanding workloads. For a price point of AED 5999, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14X OLED comes across as a very capable workhorse that offers a thin and lightweight overall profile.
