Concreative, founded by the Freyssinet civil engineering company (Vinci Construction group), is inaugurating a new large scale additive manufacturing unit in Dubai, UAE, tomorrow. This is an integrated design, production, and installation service of 3D printed architectural and structural elements.

“Concrete 3D printing is thus moving to an industrial scale on the UAE’s particularly thriving and proactive market,” said the company in a statement. By making this tool available to the market, Concreative is releasing architects from the constraints imposed by standard formwork. They now have the means to design and produce complex concrete architectural and structural elements. This new technology also heralds projects that consume less raw materials, are more reactive, cleaner, quieter, less grueling and much safer.”

Beyond the tool’s technological and industrial contribution, Concreative offers support for designers and builders from the design phase through to application using perfectly integrated multi-discipline skills.

Concreative was born of the vision and passion of its three founders Freyssinet, E-Construct, and DrawLink.

The company’s services include design support and production of bespoke structural building elements in high-performance concrete, using a fully automated printing process and a 6-axis robotised arm capable of manufacturing elements 5m long and 3m high in successive layers. The company also offers installation monitoring and site integration, quality monitoring and commitment, and the reactivity and reliability of a single point of contact throughout the project.
