FinTech Abu Dhabi Summit 2018 will go ‘live’ in two more weeks with two full days of exciting activities for FinTech start-ups and lively discussions on industry matters and issues that affect the development and growth of the financial services industry. This leading FinTech and financial event, organised by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council for the second consecutive year.

FinTech Abu Dhabi comprises of a newly designed ‘Bootcamp Day for FinTech start-ups’ on September 16th and the official Summit Day on 17th September 2018 at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi.   Confirmed speakers include H.E. Abdullah Saeed Al Darmaki, CEO of Khalifa Fund, Ahmad Bin Ghannam, CEO of Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Mr. Austin Alexander, CEO of Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, Mr Sagar Sarbhai, Head of Regulatory Relations (APAC/ME) of Ripple, Mr. Martin Markiewicz of Silent Eight, global regulatory authorities, RAKBank, Plug and Play, KPMG Digital Village, to name a few.

As part of the ADGM-KPMG Industry Adoption Challenge, four Abu Dhabi institutions and their FinTech firms will also be showcasing their latest FinTech solutions to the audience. The FinTech Bootcamp Day on 16 September is a purpose-driven, practical and engaging platform that is specially designed for FinTech start-ups attending 2018 FinTech Abu Dhabi. Bootcamp Day comprises a series of interactive workshops by industry leaders and mentors focusing on topics including ‘the role of conversational AI in Regulated Environments’, ‘Lego Blocks in a Digital Economy’ to ‘Legal 101 for start-ups’. FinTech attendees will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and know-how from ADGM’s RegLab Firms and interact with ADGM’s team of FinTech regulators and global industry partners. In addition, world’s most active tech VC and ADGM partner – Plug and Play – will be showcasing their latest selected list of FinTech firms.

In keeping up with current trends and developments in the FinTech and financial space,  senior Abu Dhabi leaders, global FinTech players and international regulators, will deep-dive into open conversations such as ‘FinTech and Technology as Enablers of Economic Growth’, ‘How To Train Your Algo’, ‘Open APIs and Empowering SMEs’, ‘Blockchain in Financial Services: Hyped Ledger’, ‘Looking into Regulators Crystal Balls’, to ‘FinTech Petri Dishes: How to Nurture FinTech Innovation’ on the Summit Day on 17 September.
